Bob Wayne
Although Bob has pursued a career as a recording engineer and studio owner of Sunburst Recording, his early years in music were as a lead vocalist for the band BIG DADDY.

BIG DADDY, a 1950's Rock & Roll oldies band, was formed in the early 70's gaining popularity with the release of four albums on Rhino Records from 1983 - 1992. The eight piece ensemble had a top 20 national hit in England in 1985 with a remake of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark".

The following year, they were honored as a Clio Finalist for their original musical composition "My Kind Of Zoo" written and performed by the band for a T.V. ad to promote the newly renovated Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.

Bob later formed a parody group on Rhino with two other members of Big Daddy, Marty Kaniger and Don Raymond. This a cappella trio released "Chantmania" in l994 which has sold in excess of 100,000 units.

Bob regularly conducts seminars at West Los Angeles College in the art and science of sound recording, and will also be teaching at UCLA Extension starting in the summer of 2005.
